Today is birth anniversary of 'lokmanya balgadhar tilak'... britishers described him as the 'father of Indian unrest'... he was the first Mass mobiliser in true sense who made the congress a efficacious apparatus... previously congress use to be instrument of imperial power dominated chiefly by the educated elites ..... till 1907 congress did not have public membership.... tilak politicised the ordinary indians and use agitation, stir, picketing and religious ceremony as a instrument of mobilisation.... ....... Tilak deeply opposed the British education system that ignored and defamed India's culture, history and values, defying and disgracing the India culture. Just becoz of his ideological proximity to hindutva.. he was dumped by the congress...
